Gwineas seals

The South West coast offers many spectacular vistas, particularly when viewed from the sea, and can be a once-in-a-lifetime experience.


These seals were photographed sunning themselves on the Gwineas rocks, not far from Mevagissey, as were the shags in the picture below.

The Bessie Vee is an excellent vessel from which to film, with its spacious deck offering uninterrupted panoramic views of around 340 degrees.


She is a stable and comfortable boat, with a large enough wheelhouse to seat 6-8 people, and plenty of storage space. Experience the fantastic scenery around St.Austell Bay, the Fowey estuary, Falmouth or St Mawes - or snap a basking shark, dolphins, even whales and leatherback and greenback turtles if you are lucky! Square Rig Sailing Company is based in Charlestown, and the square-riggers can often be seen out in the bay.
Hot drinks are always available for those periods waiting for the right shots! There is a toilet accessed from the deck, and we have a fridge, small oven/hob and sink, and plenty of fresh water.

We are also available for survey work, guard boat duties, light cargo work, personnel transfer and as a safety boat. Contact us with your specific requirements.
